Overview
The SparkFun Inventor’s Kit (SIK) for Arduino with Retail Case is a box of goodies to get the very beginner started with programmable electronics. It includes everything you need to build 14 basic circuits, and no soldering is required! An included booklet guides you through the construction of each project, and each project has a breadboard-overlay card that shows you exactly where each circuit component goes on your breadboard. The guide will show a complete novice how to use the included Arduino Uno R3 SMD to:
- Blink LEDs
- Control a toy motor
- Control a servo
- Make (bad) music
- Respond to buttons
- Read a volume knob
- Detect ambient light
- Measure temperature
- Control large loads with a relay
- Mix LED colors
- Read a flex sensor
- Read a softpot
These tasks are fundamental building blocks of typical electronics projects. Once these concepts are mastered, you can use simple recombinations to achieve some very impressive projects.
